Hey everyone i have a very important but long paper that i had typed up and printed but recently i reinstalled osx and now i need to reprint this paper and its all Wrinkled is there a program that i can take a jpeg and find the words in it
 
What you're looking for is an application that can do optical character recognition (OCR). The only one I've used is Adobe Acrobat, which works well but costs a whack of money. You could try playing around with some of these, though.

No OCR application is 100% accurate, and your spacing, formatting and so forth will not be preserved if you plan to convert it back to text. You'll have to go through afterwards and correct formatting and errors. Whether you type it or have the computer do it for you, you're in for a lot of work. Acrobat's OCR system just makes the image searchable, which may be enough for you. I'm not sure exactly what you're after.
