Reading DVD+R's burned on a pc?

I was wondering if it is possible to read dvd+r disks that had been burned on a pc. When I insert the disk blank into my mac it is ejected. My drive is:

You obviously have an older Powerbook, your SuperDrive firmware needs to be upgraded to support +RW media.

Check this site for info on how to update it and firmware downloads.

I installed the update on that site but DVD+R's are still automatically ejected after I insert them. Thanks though.

Are you running panther? Without it +R/+RW media is worthless.

Maybe try another brand of media, it may be being rejected if poor quality… sounds like a long shot though.

I'd recommend going back to that site and using the firmware downgrader to go back to the original firmware, then upgrading again just to make sure it's installed properly.

EDIT: Actually I think you mustn't have installed the updated firmware properly, ASP should be showing the drive as an "UJ-815A" after being flashed.
