I received a contract in a word document and opened it in ML. I'm using office 2011 for Mac. The contract has over 40 pages to it. When I open the document I see each page sitting 2 by 2 as seen on each page. I just want to see one page at a time centered in the middle of the screen just like in Word for Windows. I don't like the draft mode which places the doc all the way to the left.

You're probably set to view it at 50%. Increase to 100% or 125%.

Also, under the View menu, choose "Print layout"

And as for left/center -- just drag the window to where you want it on your screen.

I'm set at 100% and it is in print layout. I just want a normal view like you get in Windows. I'll post screen shots when I get back to my macs.

Here are images of what I'm trying to explain. The first one is Word 2011 for Mac and the second is word 2007 windows.

As for the window size, just grab an edge and drag it horizontally until it's as wide as you like.

I managed to recreate your problem on my 15" Macbook, by dipping just under 100%.

Just magnify, using that slider, until it loses the 2 page view.

On mine, that happens at about 108%.

Bingo, thanks. Moving the right side in did the trick and raised the magnifier.

Worked both on Mac Mini and rMBP.
