Reading list iOS 8, iPhone 6

I thought the point of reading list was to allow for offline reading?

On my iPhone 6, in safari, I clicked the share button, add to reading list. Then went into airplane mode, opened safari, opened reading list and it says, "safari can't open n this page, it is not available for offline reading"

This is with numerous different pages, random ones. What am I doing wrong?

I just tried it iOS 8.1.3 iPhone 6 and it worked fine. Did you let the page finish loading into reading list?

No... Do I have to load and then wait for a pop up?

No. I try and add another but make sure it's in there before turning on Airplane mode.

This is very odd. Give a hard reset a try. Just hold the home and sleep button until you see the Apple logo. When your phone comes back on try and add the page again and see if it opens off life. Hope it works
