Ok, so this sounds like an easily solved problem. I viewed a webpage on Friday with some data in it that has subsequently been updated, and I need the old data. The website does not store this old data anywhere. However, I thought maybe I could recover it by opening up thecached copy of the page from Safari's history.

So, far, I have successfully located the history files in library/caches/safari but (a) there doesn't seem to be any method to the filing system (16 folders, each containing 16 folders), and (b) i can't open .cache files.

So...questions:
1. Can I actually see the old version of a website using this method?
2. How do I file the correct cache file?
3. How do I open said file....?

Answers gratefully received. Cheers chaps
