Hello everyone,

tommorow I'm gowing to purchase myselves a new macbook, now I want it to be a recent one, not one that the store had in stock for a month or so. So I know there is a way to read the serial number on it, and some number indicates the week it was build? What is the highest this number can be for the moment and how can I see which number stands for the week ?

Thanks in advance

First 2 Digits: Factory it was assembled at
Next 1 Digit: Year
Next 2 Digits: Week manufactured
Remaining: Your unique serial.

Example: W8619XJ42U

W8: Shanghai Factory
6: Year of 2006
19: Week 19
XJ42U: Unique number
