Reading too much into 17" MBP shortages??

Presumably, the 17" MBP is the least popular in terms of overall sales, right? (Someone correct me if I'm wrong).

So is it really that surprising (or revealing of a refresh) that third-party vendors would be running low of this particular model?

Wouldn't a better indication of an imminent refresh be if we noticed a significant drop in 13" and 15" MBP inventory? For the most part, I've only been seeing inventory drops in the 17" models.

Pretty sure it's not just the 17" that's in short supply.

This thread has lots of info in it, and while there are more 13" around, it looks like they're all in short supply.

Many people (including me) are anxious for the refresh and when something like this happens it makes us all go crazy.

We need some pre-release pics of some sort. From what I read, in the past we always get "something" prior to the refresh.

This is not the Manhattan Project, is it???

I can't help but think people are reading to it want they want to happen. There are plenty of retailers that have Plenty. That said, I hope as much as the next guy that they show up sooner than later.
