Real world battery time differences?

What do you think on the battery times between the 8+ and X?
Last year I got the 7. Battery sucked for my usage. Got the 7+ and it's been great.
Trying to decide between 8+ and X. Don't want to suffer too much on battery. They say the X is two hrs better than the 7. How would that compare to real world from 7+/8+
