I'm coming to the conclusion that my NTFS partition is too big, and I want to take 10GB off of it and put it back on my HFS+ partition. I know there's software out there like Partition Magic, but will that work with HFS+ and OSX? Obviously I don't want to reformat either partition...

Partition magic I don't think is compatible with HFS+, you'll need something like ipartition, that can handle both types.

Either way, to be safe, you'll want to back up your data in case something does go wrong.

Camp Tune has worked for me. It will adjust the sizes of your OSX and NTFS partitions.

I've been using Winclone to create a back up onto an external (or in some cases my HFS+ if I have enough space), using bootcamp assistant to re-adjust the size and reloading my original windows partition via winclone.

Takes a bit and requires a generous amount of space but I've found Winclone to be quite reliable in the past *Knock on Wood*

Cheers!
