I’ve always preferred larger phones (my last phone was an 8 Plus), but I recently got a XS and I’m surprised by how much I’m enjoying the size of the phone. It’s much easier to hold (I dropped my 8 Plus often) and once a case is on it (I have the Apple silicone case), the phone feels a little bigger, making it ideal size-wise. I can’t imagine how I would have been able to hold the Max version comfortably day-to-day without dropping the phone and without my hand hurting (the 8 Plus was extremely uncomfortable to hold).

I’m really happy with this size and I’m sad Apple is forgoing it next year with the iPhone 12 series.

The reason why I got the 7 after the 6 plus was because I dropped it a lot costing me over $400 total to fix the screen. I got the X and now 11 pro because the 5.8 screen is as big as the plus but ok a body similar to the 7.

I love my iPhone 11 Pro's size and no way in heck would I want a bigger phone. The smaller the better for me but I don't want a phone which has less features in terms of cameras so I'm hoping Apple comes out with a smaller phone like 5.4 inch but with all the bells and whistles.

I got the pro max and after the initial honeymoon phase of loving the bigger screen I miss the portability of the standard pro.

5.8" is a great size right now! It is nice to have multiple sizes available. I also like the 11 but I didn't like the weight

I would love to try 5,8" size... Sometimes I'm very happy with 6,1" of ip11 but sometimes is heavy and worse controled. For media consuming is definetely better...

And on another note--
I have a 6 Plus, a 7 and an 8 (the smaller ones). Guess which iPhone I use all the time and always take with me?

Hint: not the 7 or 8

This is why I was very frustrated to hear the rumours of Apple killing off the 5.8” iPhone next year...it’s a great all-round size for all content, in either portrait or landscape & very portable. If anything, it needs be a little lighter (the X is heavier than the prior 6S I had, which I consider ideal weight-wise). Shrink its notch & it would’ve sold big in 2020.

But at least latest rumours suggest there’ll be a 6.1” Pro option, instead of the initial 5.4”...

My last four phones have all been big phones and was a huge fan of the big screens but I have gotten to the point where I am tired of carrying around something this big. I currently have a Pixel 2 XL, before that I had an Iphone 6s Plus for example.

Due to Android fatigue I plan to switch back to an Iphone. I was seriously considering the Iphone 11 but its really not that much smaller than my current Pixel 2 XL which is why I am looking at the 11 Pro 5.8". I think size wise it might be perfect for me, I just worry that I might find the screen a little too small. Obviously a smaller phone=smaller display. I need to go to BestBuy/Verizon and play around with the 11 Pro more. I won't be able to get a new phone until June so I have time, I just have a feeling the 5.8" might just be the perfect size for me as opposed to the 6.1". I definitely would not consider anything smaller than the 5.8".

The latest rumours suggest there will be iPhones galore - 4.7”, 5.4”, two 6.1” (OLED and LCD) and even bigger ones, so everybody should be able to find what suits them best in terms of sizes, weights and tech/functionality.

I love the 5.8
It's so much easier to handle and carry and the screen really isn't that small. I don't have any issues with it.

Yeah more choices will be good, if things turn out that way.

What I was referring to was the supposed direct replacement of the current 5.8” flagship - which is now rumoured to be a 6.1” Pro instead of the initially predicted 5.4” Pro.
(The 5.4” is mean to be a non Pro device, apparently)

I’ve been using me pro max for the camera. However my sim is in my x just for the small size. I should of got the regular pro. Lesson learned

I mean it’s literally all the same cameras in all the 11’s the pros just get the telephoto lens added but it’s the same hardware otherwise

The rumours are still patchy, but from what I have understood about that 5.4” model is that it would only be missing 0.4” inches of screen space and a third camera, compared to the current 5.8” Pro model. Let’s see what they come up with.

It's pretty much the ultimate iPhone form factor so far. I tried the XS Max, went back to the XS, tried the 11 and went to 11 Pro. It's just perfect.

0.4” diagonally is a fair amount of real estate though, both horizontally & vertically. You’re losing the space which the notch gifted you & then some. & then the width you lose would impact reading content in landscape orientation.

But yeah, we will see!
:)

Month and a half and im still enjoying my iPhone 11. Im in love with that 6.1" screen. Its great for reading, gaming, watching videos and films. This is the best option for me.

Same... When I go near shop with electronics I try in hand, 11 Pro and pro Max...
With 11 pro I have feel like I hold 6s in hand, Pro max again reminds me when I have 7 plus and problem with one-hand usage... And - XR and 11 shows same content as Max versions and X,XS,11 pro shows same "content" in width as 6s,7 etc..
