Just wanted to say that my new MacPro is going to be here tomorrow.

I ordered it on Friday morning with the following extras...

Wireless
Wireless Mighty Mouse
Wireless Keyboard
8800GT

I cannot believe how quickly this has been turned around. I order one on day of release (which later cancelled) and was due to arrive on Friday the 15th.

So cancelling the 1st MP has worked well in my favour.

Now i need a nice 23 or 24 inch screen!!
 
I received the same Mac Pro you ordered. I really was doubtful that I would like the wireless mouse and keyboard but I actually love it. You will really love the speed and overall quality. It will start when you open up the box...how the beast is packed. Enjoy.

Also, I purchased a Samsung 245BW 24" LCD as I wait for updates to the ACDs. As a recommendation for a monitor, I think you will like the Samsung unless you are doing high end photo/movie editing.

Thanks for recommending the Samsung, all i'll be doing is a small bit of video editing and mainly gaming.

What's the colour like and is there any ghosting at all?

No airport? I'm asking cause I've been told by the apple rep that it was first arrived first served. I have the same specs as you maybe except the airport... and still...no shipping!

i wonder this too, i ordered with extra ram (which can't be in short supply!!!) and 2x1TB drives and am waiting for what seems like forever!

I think the colour is excellent and no ghosting that I have seen except on poorly edited videos that you see on sites like youtube.
 
Sorry, yes i have configured the Airport.

I wonder if it's because i'm a business account? I did ask him to put me on the priority list. So ordered on 15th and is on course for the 20th.
 
I looked at the wireless keyboard but decided against is as it's a small form factor (no number keypad). That put me off right away. Yes I ordered the 4GB RAM from Apple (more money than sense I guess :)) This is my second Mac in two weeks. I ordered the MP as soon as the new one was announced and as an afterthought ordered a MBA which arrived first.
