I'm hoping the preorders get sold out soon enough before I have a chance to get to it.. This way I will take it as a sign and skip this generation. If the preorder stays up for a while I would be forced to preorder it.

That's a pretty selfish view. There are a lot of people out there who really want it and would benefit from preorders being slower. If you really don't want it I suggest you get some willpower so as not to preorder it.

Resistance is futile. Even if you pass on the initial preorder, once all the in-hand reviews and videos come out you will experience deep regret and end up putting in an order for the X anyways.

If you can't pre-order it, and stock is low until mid next year, you might as well wait until the next generation's release.

Wait until you see more reviews when things get closer to November 3rd, you may end up wanting to wait in line.

yeah right nov 3rd = 2018 lately

I thought iPhones don't sell out on preorder you just go to the back of the line and wait and wait and wait.

Preorders for launch day delivery will sell out within minutes, but you must know that it won't "sell out." Delivery dates just get pushed back.

Partially, this is what Apple does not want. They don't want the consumer to get fatigued waiting for the iPhone X to arrive if they have a long delivery date. And in the midst of all of that, if they cancel that iPhone order, that doesn't look good for Apple, especially given this is supposed to be there big iPhone release in over four years. I mentioned it before, but production numbers are everything and what they are able to distribute after November 3.

#1. It will sell out immediately
#2. You won’t be able to buy them in stores until June 2018
#3. Apple is shipping significantly fewer IPhone X because all their shipments are sent via Airfreight out of 1 Airport And those Airfreight Flights can be tracked they are down 20% based on scheduling over last year.
#4. I am happy to wait for the iPhone Xs Plus Next Year I will much prefer the 6.3” Display Size. Apple 5.8 is smaller than the Galaxy S8 for instance and that feels tiny.
