Really need advice regarding SIM swap issue

Sorry to post this here but I'm really stumped (I've searched like crazy too). I need to use my 3G iPhone SIM in my 1st Gen iPhone. It just will not work. I have Jailbroked and unlocked it as well thinking that would let me use the SIM...No luck.

Is there anything I can do to allow me to simply use the SIM from my 3G in my 1st gen?

Any advice or direction is greatly appreciated.
