so i just got my first Macbook and theres a piece of software my uni wants me to use thats only available on Windows. So I got a legit copy of Windows 8.1 and tired to use bootcamp to install windows, but i cant.
First the problem was that the iso file wan't 64 bit so i downloaded Parallels to obtain the 64-bit iso because of the need to run windows installer, and didnt get to the set of getting the iso but when i go into Bootcamp it detects a file that makes it seem to work but then i get a error because of my hard drive plugged in via USB something to with the formatting not being FAT or something. So I went to disk utility on the Mac and currently in the process of formatting it, is there any easier way or advice on how to install windows 8.1.
