Hi, I really need help with my iPhone 3G, here is my problem:

It factory reset itself last night for some reason, this morning I plugged it into iTunes and it said I need to unlock it, however as it had returned to factory settings I could not unlock it. I then took it to the school techies and they tried something and as the lock button does not work there method did not work, so now I am stuck with it like it is.

Has any one got any ideas on how to fix it? Or would it be wise to go and get a 4s, (however my MBP will have to wait for longer)

Will

What exactly do you mean by "it said I need to unlock it"? Like, passcode unlock?

Do a Hard Reset to wipe oit all locks, Or you can connect to iTunes and do a RESTORE
