hello to all!
i have a black macbook for a year and these days is very slow even if i am using only one adobe programm. at times the program quit by himself.
i have 1gb memory but i will make it 2.
the question is what happened and now my mac is slow when then wasn't?
is there something i can do like we do defragment on pcs or something to make it quicker like it was before?
thank u i really need answers cause i have overload of work and it doesnt seems to want to help me!! :)

Is your hard drive full? The fuller it gets the slower access times can get. The Mac likes to do system maintenance during the small hours. Once files become fragmented, and log files grow, it automatically cleans up your drive. But the trick is letting it do it. Every now and then, maybe once a month, You should set the machine to not sleep and let it sit overnight. This way, OS X has time to do its maintenance thing.
