Alright, I have no idea what's causing this problem in Quicktime, but it's been driving me nuts for months. Quicktime for some reason won't let me play large files all the way through. Not length-wise, but size-wise large files, that is. I don't know why, or what the limit on size is before it starts acting crazy. At some point, though, it decides to only show a portion of the video, as if that's the whole thing. For example, a 10 minute clip will only show the first minute and a half for some reason. It's as if the rest of it just isn't there.
Some times, though, it'll let me play to the end, and right before it stops, click at the beginning again, and keep playing further through the film. I had this problem with the old Quicktime, and the update hasn't fixed it. I tried opening the same files in NicePlayer (freeware that lets you full-screen QT files), but it does the exact same thing. I've gotten this with all sorts of files, from movie trailers to things my friends have edited and sent to me.
Anyone have this problem, or know how to fix it?
