No, the logo is lit by the actual display, so if you turn off the display you turn off the logo.

If you really have a problem with our idol of praise you could always get a Dell?

Only relative to cheap generic com...you know what, I'll let you dwell until you forget

No but OP, just tape a business card up side down over it with some clear tape.

Yeah bru! Grubby-fingered opportunity-seeking laptop-snatching pinces can find these things from miles if you've got a room with a street-facing window!

OP, disassemble the display case, remove the panel, remove the logo; replace the logo with a piece of opaque plastic or whatever you want and reassemble to your pleasure.

I've seen more than one of these threads asking if there was a way to turn off the Apple logo on the back of the display, and it just makes me wonder...why on Earth would this be an issue?
Apple shame, or something?

maybe he gets beaten by dell fanboys at school?

No easy task, that. I have a friend who does that to all the Apple laptops he rebuilds. Puts in a small sheet of colored plastic to make the Apples shine in different colors; red green pink etc.

I can see why some people prefer a clean look. I don't like logos and labels on stuff either. In this case I never see it since it's on the back but maybe he lives in a highly reflective house and it's shining in his eye :D

Looks like it wouldn't be too hard to trace the shape and cut out a decal to stick over it..automotive shop might have some silver decal sheets. Or just cut out a sheet the same shape as the whole lid and cover the whole thing.

Well, the easiest way to do it would be to color the Apple stickers that came with the machine black or silver or whatever, and then put that over the logo.
It just depends on if he/she is trying to hide it completely or if it's just the light coming through that is the "issue."

Where's MacGyver when you need him?
