Hey guys! So, Rearth sent me a keyboard cover for my MacBook Air to review and I want to post some of my thoughts on it:

PROS
* Key-presses are much quieter and it is does not feel like you are typing on cheap silicone! I was imagining a silicone cover like those ones for the iPod classic I used to have. The keys feel very natural.
* Texture is nice on the cover and it's pretty thin
* No more oil all over my keys from my fingers
* Seems like it would protect from spills or crumbs (which I am pretty anal about)
* I think it will protect the screen from keyboard imprints

CONS
* Muffles the speakers a little bit. If the speakers are a big deal to you, don't buy a keyboard cover because I bet they will all do this! I didn't even think about this until I put it on.
* It is a little harder to see the keys in the dark. Especially since the MBA does not have backlit keys!

Overall, I like it. I probably wouldn't have gone out of my way to buy a keyboard cover, but now that I have one, I am impressed with it. I think they are asking about $13 for it (with free shipping), and it's great quality for that price.

Thanks for the review, seems pretty nice. Does it fit properly on the keyboard? I have seen some covers that are not even with the silver surface.

After all, this no con for me, because.. well, no need :)

From the website it looks very cloudy ?

I've used a Moshi Clear-Guard before and have ordered one for my MBA, I find them very good, though are a tad more expensive.

It actually lays perfectly on the keyboard, so no problems there.

It is a cloudy white color, not completely clear. I'm not sure whether that is a design choice or whether it has a functional reason.

Really...? Waste of time and money IMO. Unless you seriously bend the MBA out of shape, the keys will never touch the screen. If you had a 15' MBP on the other hand, then this would be useful.

I have the iSkin keyboard cover on my MBA 11 and it fits real good. I think, having it closed for awhile with the keyboard cover installed helped set it better. I'm happy with it. ;)

IMO. Tacky

I absolutely thought it would be too, but I actually like the way it makes the keys feel. It looks a lot better than some multi-colored ones I've seen on campus.

What's really tacky are those plastics shells people put on the outside of the MacBook Air. I never understood that for a machine that's marketed as ultra-thin...
