Reason LTE S3 gets ceramic back

The reason LTE versions get ceramic back maybe a hint that you will be charging A LOT.
LOL

Interesting point. ESpecially being if LTE is continually being used, it certainly will deplete the battery much quicker. Which would require periodically charging throughout the day if needed.

Great point! I know my original got pretty scratched up, my series 2 is like the day I got it.

Either way it’s worth getting the LTE even if you don’t use it, you get 16gb storage plus the ceramic back, and I got the sports loop. Bargain over the non LTE :D

If you read Apple's battery page for the Apple Watch S3....

https://www.apple.com/watch/battery.html

You will see it's 18 hour battery life outlines the activities can perform including 4 hours of LTE standby time.

All-Day Battery Life
Up to 18 hours

All-day battery life is based on 18 hours with the following use: 90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of app use, and a 30-minute workout with music playback from Apple Watch via Bluetooth, over the course of 18 hours. Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) usage includes connection to iPhone via Bluetooth during the entire 18-hour test. Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) usage includes a total of 4 hours of LTE connection and 14 hours of connection to iPhone via Bluetooth over the course of 18 hours. Testing conducted by Apple in August 2017 using preproduction Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) and Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular), each paired with an iPhone; all devices tested with prerelease software. Battery life varies by use, configuration, and many other factors; actual results will vary.

I figured the ceramic was for better LTE reception as opposed to a plastic composite, no? Your thought would be of benefit as well.

Like the sapphire crystal on the front display the ceramic is there for improved scratch (and corrosive) resistance. either way both devices will hold up well for their intended lifecycle.
