I have a friend that needs a cell phone. I almost told him I'd give him mine, but then thought better of it. He asked today if I was still selling it. I was thinking $100? It's in perfect condition. It's a 4, not a 4S.

16GB AT&T $200 $168 $170 $195.50 $140
16GB Verizon $190 $131 $126 $195.50 $140
8GB AT&T $190 $125 $140 $195 $50
8GB Verizon $170 $106 $121 $200 $50

Well a perfect condition 16GB fetches around $180 on eBay. How much do your value your friendship?

He's a nice guy. Doesn't have a lot of money and has no phone now. We are co-workers. I don't 'need' the money. But I don't want to give it away either. I don't really feel like going through selling it online. I do have the 16G model.

I sold my 4 to a friend for $100. I know I could have gotten more, but it was a friend and I'm glad I did it.

I sold my 7/10 condition IP4 on CL for $200 cash. It was supposed to be $250 but he was pissed about a scratch down by the home button when we met up and offered $200 (which I gladly accepted :))

Sold both my 4 16g for 200 each. Both were in horrible condition. One had water damage on the backside glass underneath but the guy from CL came at night and couldn't see it.

One also had a broken home button. Oh well

I think $100 is fair for a friend. Being a girl, I don't want him to think I like, like him ;)

$100 is kinda low but if its a buddy then I guess it's ok. I sold my 2 iphone 4's 16gb for $200 each on craigslist to a guy who was going to unlock and resell them.

I got $198 on ebay last week for my old 4 16gb with a completely shattered screen.

I would tell your friend $200. I think thats fair.

Don't give away jack squat. I used to be that way, but it dawned on me that no one ever gives me a damn thing for free.

The only people i "give" things to are my family members.

I sold one 16gb that would not vibrate and had a very minor crack in the back for $200. I would think that you could probably get a little more for it.

Wow UK still gets quite good value then........i sold my 16 gig last week for £215 ($344) and my 32 gig for £225 ($360)

Sold 2 iPhone 4/16GB/AT&T on CL. One for $250, the other $240. This was about 1 week ago...

Nothing wring with getting a fair value, if you guys are friends and you don't need it all in one sum then arrange a payment plan over a couple of months.

UK prices reflect the fact that we pay way more than people back home in the States. I sold my mint out of the box condition 4S within 24 hours of putting it up on the marketplace section. 32GB black £350

But then, I paid more for it here.

When I told him my 5 was coming today, I told him I would be ready to sell it soon. I just had to set up my new phone and wipe the 4. We were chatting through work IM. Then he asked if I would sell it to the guy who drives the taxi he takes to work sometimes for $100. He asked me because the driver is good to him because he lets him owe him for the rides sometimes. He doesn't have a car right now, so I guess the same taxi driver takes him a lot.

So I thought for a few and then sent a message back....Something like....I understand that you want to help out your driver, but I wanted to give it to you.....

I didn't mention anything about price for the other guy. I was just saying that I wanted him to buy it, not some guy I didn't know. I had offered it to him a couple of weeks ago and he said he would probably want to buy it.

I think he gambles on sports and that is part of the reason he doesn't have a car. I don't know the whole story, but I knew he walked a lot and didn't have any phone at all, so I was trying to be nice. Then I hear about the taxi driver and I was a little taken back. So I don't know. I was going to give it to him and let him pay me a little at a time. Now I am wondering if I say no about the taxi guy if he would sell it to him anyway for more then $100 after buying it from me

I know it's dumb to care who ends up with my phone, but I was committing to selling it to him and then he does the taxi guy thing.
