I've done my due diligence in reading through previous posts on this topic, but I remain confused since I haven't quite found previous posts regarding my specific question/situation. So here, goes.

When Photos first came out with Yosemite, I elected to keep using Aperture and my main app. So when I first launched Photos, I said "no" to the Aperture import process. In Aperture part of my library is on my Mac and the other is referenced on an external drive.

I've now decided to cut ties with Aperture (d*mn you, Apple...) and go with Photos (and iCloud storage). (I have really tried to warm up to Lightroom, but it's just so...so...ugly).

Currently, in Photos, there is a folder titled "iPhoto Events" which contains the file structure which looks to be the same as currently exists in Aperture.

On to my questions:

[1] How do I now tell Photos to import my Aperture library (since that option isnt formally presented once you initially launch Photos for the first time)?

[2] Since I continued to use Aperture for a while, am I correct that changes to photos I made there are not reflected in the "iPhotos Events" within Photos?

[3] For the referenced photos in Aperture, should I -- within Aperture -- first turn them into managed photos (assuming my SDD as the capacity -- before moving everything to Photos, or should I leave them as referenced and then tell Photos where they are (by using the "Show referenced file in Finder..." Command.

Thanks for your help with this (unnecessarily) arduous process... ;-)
