Rebate for students?

I from Germany and in germany, if you are a student you get a rebate. Is that also in the US or only in Germany? Because i will go to mcallen/texas tomorrow and i want to buy a macbook and yesterday i heard from that rebate for students. Can i get this everywhere?

Also the US. Pretty much started here.

But I don't really think you'll be able to buy one with the rebate if you're not from a school in the U.S.... although, they don't check.

I'm pretty sure you can since you are a student. Just have an ID ready maybe?
