Rebates and the cutoff date

On Jan. 19th I went with a friend to his work at Apple and ordered an Imac and printer. I got confirmation of the order via email from apple on the 20th and two charges were listed on my CC on the 22nd and 23rd. On Apple's rebate form for the printer it says "purchase and take possession" between Jan. 22 and April xx for one rebate and an earlier version says between XXX/xx and Jan. 21st.

So which one do I use?

I realize some companies are very lawyerly in the way the process these things and I don't want to be left out in the cold for my "oversight."

Rebates should have contact information. I suggest you contact them as they are the ones ultimately, who decide whether or not your rebate submission counts.

No one on MR will have that sort of authority.
