My iPhone has been a little funky lately so I assume it needs a nice fresh start... would you guys recommend shutting it off for the night and turning it back on tomorrow morning or just doing a restart? (Holding home and power simultaneously)

Well, I spoke to AppleCare earlier today actually, and I was told to do a hard reboot (so I probably will)... but if it's just a little laggy, wouldn't a normal power off be less harmful? Just the idea of a "hard restart" when I can power it off irks me a bit...
