Rebuild iTunes library from PC backup?

I am a long time PC user who is changing over to an iMac. I ordered the 27" on Nov 30 and if the weather permits it will be here Monday. Unfortunately, my PC died in the meantime. Thankfully my files were backed up daily to a backup drive. I have read about migrating from windows iTunes to Mac iTunes and maintaining the integrity of the library (play counts, drm, etc.) which is what I planned to do. Is there a way to salvage all of that when moving to a Mac from just a backup of Windows documents?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions, tips etc.
