Recently, I had an issue with my iTunes media. But, it seemed that iTunes just didn't reflect all of the movies that I had. I talked with Apple support, they informed me that my folder was not correct, so they helped me get my iTunes Media folder created correctly. Once this was done, they told me to copy old folder to the new folder under the new structure. I did this for one folder and then started on the second folder. It popped up a notice that asked if I wanted to merge or replace the movies from the old folder to the new structure. Apple support told me to Merge it. Anyway the long and the short of it was that the folder was replaced deleting all of the movies that had been in folder to begin with. HOWEVER, I had a backup. So I correctly copied movies from the backup to the new structure (the one recommended by Apple). I believe that I have all of my movies in the right folders. HOWEVER, now the listing in iTunes does NOT contain all of the movies in the folders themselves. I would like to just kill the listing in iTunes and "Add to Library" ALL of the movies. But, it appears that if I delete the current movies in iTunes, it wants to delete the actual movie from the folder as well. How do I get this all sorted out?
