Rebuying applications?

I accidentally deleted all the applications I have in the iTunes store (some of which I bought). I did make a backup of the 3G I have already, but obviously it didn't make a backup of the applications
So I restored the backup to the new 3GS I got today, and it did not restore the applications.

The question is, if I go and rebuy some of the stuff I've already bought, will iTunes recharge my credit card? I don't mind redownloading the 30 apps I had already (either through the iPhone or on the desktop).

You won't be recharged downloading them to the desktop. Directly to the phone, however, may well be a different story.

You can re-download Apps at no charge

If you still have them on the phone that you are syncing with the computer you can try these two things.

Store > Check for Available Downloads

or right click the phone and select "Transfer Purchases"

One of these might help you get some of them back easier.

It won't cost anything. The news you heard about them charging for re-downloads was a mistake on Apple's part.
