"Users of refurbished iPhone and iPad chargers are urged to return them to EB Games stores nationwide after they have been classed a fire related product by the New Zealand Fire Service.
A notice released by the Fire Service noted EB Games are recalling all refurbished iPhone and iPad chargers that were sold from July 25 2014 to May 28 2015.
The chargers may malfunction and cause a 'popping' noise followed by smoke and a burning smell which can damage the charger.
Customers are advised to stop using these chargers immediately and return to any EB Games store to receive a free replacement."
