in two minds. personally I found the tag app less annoying than hole19, but hole19 watch lite is only €3 a month so don't have to pay all in one go and still cheaper.
all im interested in is the watch bit, im not going to take my phone out so what that does is irrelevant to me.
both hole19 and tag are able to show yardage and log scores, and I guess that's all I need.
neither of them suggest a club (on the watch) which is a shame.
tag shows the map of the hole, hole19 just shows the yardage.
tag switches automatically to the right hole, hole19 doesn't but then it does force you to put in your score whereas the tag being more friendly you could forget as itll switch automatically when you walk to the next tee whereas with hole19 you are standing on a par 3 thinking 500m....ah ive not put in the last holes score.
THE most annoying thing about hole19 is no complication. with tag you can have a watchface with that as a complication. the best workaround for hole19 is to set the dock (which ive never used in 2 years) to sort by favourites and put it at the top. halfway round though i accidentally opened football365 and it went to the top of the list.
got another 3 free weeks of the months trial of hole19 see if it grows on me, if not its back to tag.
