Digits.What carrier are you using?
I heard Tmobile will put out an App that you will be able to use other devices and computers to receive your phone calls and text messages on.

Digits.
It's in Beta right now. Either one number for all devices or one device with multiple numbers.
Yeah…the Beta is free and if you do nothing they will move you on to the actual plan when it goes live. Then you get charged. That sounds pretty cool.
I heard they will charge extra for it though.

They had a small problem when they launched it this week. Some user account numbers and emails that were not the applicants showed up on the beta site. Some people's basic info was exposed.
They shut it down within a few hours but it's back up now.
EDIT: What stopped me from applying was that they want iOS users to turn off iMessage. iMessage is one of the few ways I can communicate with some contacts free of charge that are not US residents, so I'd rather leave it on.
I already have whatever it is Apple calls it where it allows you to simultaneously ring your iPad when you get a call on your iPhone as well as being linked to iMessage.I hear you.
I'm not turning iMessage off either.
And don't feel like paying extra either![]()
