When ordering the iPad online I wrote a gift message but it didn't seem to show up in the box? Where can I locate this? I'm super confused... .

What? You mean an Engraving?
The engraving goes on the back of the iPad.
If you simply mean a message to state its a gift, it will be on the invoice or something?
If it is simply a message on a bit of paper why on earth is it so important?
If you bought it as a gift (is that an option during non-holidays?) it will be in a small envelope with a card. If you got it engraved, it will be etched into the back of the iPad itself.
