When i went onto my mail today, it has over 70,000 Emails because it was receiving 870 of each email i receive. Also, every time i check for new messages over 1000 new emails are there. What should i do about this problem?

where the emails come from? webmail...? pop3...?
most likely a syncing problem.
try disconnecting the account and then reconnecting it to the email client.
are we on iOS or Mac?
if the extra emails are in the web-mail too then i'm afraid i don't have a clue.
