Pure curiosity: Was there a software update that improved Pencil 2 behavior some time relatively recently?
I ask because the artist who does work for me (and I provide intermittent tech support for) uses a 2020 iPad Pro with a 2nd gen Pencil. He rather excitedly commented today that after an OS update (presumably to 17.5.1) his Pencil performance was suddenly greatly improved--smoother, more responsive, less lag.
Which surprised me, since I hadn't heard a word about improved Pencil behavior in any recent iPadOS updates (or even any less-recent ones). He keeps his OS relatively up to date, so he didn't just jump from iPadOS 13 or anything crazy.
No hardware changes involved, and he didn't think it was due to an update to his drawing software (primarily CSP), he was convinced it was an OS update that did it.
Did I just miss news of this, or has something been wonky with his iPad OS install from the start and for some reason this update finally fixed it?
