2019 iMac, 128GB RAM, 2TB SSD, Sonoma 14.2
I don't know when this started but it's been going on since Sonoma was released.
If I open Finder and go to Recents under Favorites, I see no files. Whereas before I'd see files going back a decade plus.
If I open Spotlight and type "Sam Smith" for example, the program never finds the many files with Sam's name in them nor the several dozen emails to and from Sam.
I've turned off my internal from Siri's & Spotlight's Privacy page and turned it back on, which I understand resets the index. I've also had OnyX Delete The Existing Index. And I've reinstalled the OS. No luck.
I called Apple this morning. They say this is known issue with Sonoma and they are working on it. I find this rather hard to believe since multiple Google searches and searches here and the Apple forums have yielded nothing exactly like my problem.
Any thoughts before I do a nuke and pave? Thank you.
