Most posts on the web say that "Recents" (Finder > Recents) are safe to delete, BUT I just did a test, where I deleted a few jpegs, and they were ALSO DELETED in the original file location, a folder on my desktop. I also have MULTIPLE duplicates in the Recents, I don't understand how they got there. I don't use iCloud, turned it off. I can't wrap my mind around how apple stores things/locations.
