iPhone X Reception better on 7+ than X?

We live south of Dallas, and my sister and her son are on Sprint. She says in low signal areas my nephew's X won't get service while her 7+ is fine (or low but usable).

Anyone else compare the two reception-wise?

I'm thinking of switching to AT&T from T-mobile and am thinking of getting the X, but don't want it to have worse reception than my current 7+.

I experience a similar issue on a different US carrier, Apple def goofed something in the X antenna.

I think most people have come to expect such low voice call quality from iPhones that they don't even notice

Yeah I agree I wish voice quality was improved as well. How come Apple has been making these a good while now and still can’t improve the main features of phones?
