Recieving text message, no sound

All my other notification have sound but when i get a text message nothing at all. My phone is jailbroken, can't figure out the cause of this

Happens to me all the time. Also jailbroken. Only noticed it happening on 4.2.1

Just turn off the phone and turn it back on and it should be fine. Hopefully you're untethered by now.

Make sure your audio isn't being redirected via airtunes. I've noticed this when I have a paired bluetooth device connected. I sometimes forget that the paired device usually gets preference.

i second making sure you are not forgetting to switch off airplaying. i used to always forget to do this too when i stopped airplaying something to my stereo, i wouldi would pause ipod or pandora then shut off stereo and all my text notifications went to the stereo that was switched off. i wish airplay would revert bak to iphone when you stop streaming or airplaying your ipod. but you have to manually do it everytime
