Hi, I had to get a new hard drive installed on my intel imac. Whoever worked on my computer set it up as "bby's Computer". There is a folder named bby that has folders such as desktop, pictures, downloads, etc. in it that I can't delete. I changed the name of the administrator (bby) in system preferences to my name, but everything still wants to go through the bby folder. I can't recall anyway to change the ownership of my computer. Anyone have any tips? Thanks!:apple:

Set yourself up in System Preferences>System>Accounts by adding yourself as an administrator. Once you're established log in under your name and delete the bby account.
This is assuming you can log in with bby's password in the first place.

I'm also assuming a new drive doesn't have anything to back up yet. If it does, do so first.

Thanks man! It looks like it's gonna work. Just gotta get all my stuff backed up first. Thanks a lot. :)
