Hello all,

Brand new here! :)

I am looking for sd camcorder just for playing with imovie09. So in the beginning I just go sd. I have been looking at Panasonic SDRS26. Any other or better I should be looking at in the price segment?

TIA.

Check out Canon FS200 Flash Memory Camcorder. $299-$279

Notable Features

Mic and Headphone Jack
SD and HD Recording
OnBoard Video Light
37x Optical Zoom this is the lens doing the work versus digital. Quality should be maintained throughout the zoom.

3 second pre-record for hitting the record button late.

Lower Lux 1.3 for low-light situations.

This has more features than the other camera.

This camera has some room to grow and give you good standard options.

Thanks for reply.

I just watching on youtube a little clip between Panasonic SDR S 26 and Canon FS200. And it seems Panasonic has much better stability...

I think it's a close race between these two. I can get them for almost the same price.

*edit*
I wasn't aware that FS200 can record HD!
