Hello,

Does anyone know of a good solar panel which charges an external battery (like Hypermac) which can in turn charge devices like iPhone or iPad (via USB) or a high voltage option to charge the RMBP 15" when it is powered off? (Meaning that it charges, instead of merely powering).

The idea is to mount the solar panel to my bicycle back and have it charge my devices when I'm commuting.

Thank you :)

I use Voltaic (http://www.voltaicsystems.com). That said, I was disappointed to learn that the rMBP's pull was too much for the buffer battery and it forces it into protection/shut-down. They say they are working on it.

I was thinking of Voltaic too. I'm coming from a Hypermac which does not have solar charging. How is it in general? I have not seen too many reviews of it yet so I think I'm holding off first until the rMBP issues are fixed or that there are more reviews.

More thoughts appreciated :)
