I've got a current MBP and a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Micro. It's great, except that it's too fat to fit in the USB port and leave room for any other devices to be plugged in because the stupid ports are so close together.

Does anyone make a thinner USB thumb drive that allows room to use the other USB port? I need it in 16 GB or larger.

Get a little dongle ext. cable with a smaller end for your current stick.

I use SuperTalent drives. I have a 16 Gb pico (super small) and a 32 GB USB 3.0 Express Duo (really fast usb 2 speeds).

get the tuff n tiny from verbATIM its the smallest ive seen and can be dropped in mud water you name it, hit it with a hammer and it will still work. People still dont believe its a thumb drive, they say its too small

Both of these look good but I can't tell...it's not so much that I need something small as much as it needs to not be wide. Really, it can't be wider than the actual USB port. Can you guys verify that's the case with these drives?

Thanks for the suggestions.

They both go inside the USB port, so they are as wide as the USB port.

lexar echo ze...fits and stays connected..and goes up to 32gb

that and iamakey - just as wide as the usb slot...and thinner i guess.
