I'm looking for a remote to use with a Mac Mini 2012 ver. I have a keyboard with a trackball I'm using now but it's a bit big. Need something like a tv remote to make it easier for the Misses. I would use it mainly for EyeTV and Chrome.

look at Remote Buddy
you can configure any program you want, it will send keyboard presses with various buttons pressed on the remote.
a lot of programs have pre-built profiles, so it should work out of the box
i've used it both with a wii-mote (connects via bluetooth) and the standard apple remote.
with the wii-mote, if you have a wii sensor bar (or just a couple of IR LEDs) you can even use it as a mouse by aiming at the screen
also has web-page so you can access and control from the web browser on your mobile.

thanks waw74... im looking into this i like the option to control eyetv from my phone also amazed at the amount of controls this program works with
