I have a Mac mini 2011 which I had some problems with the current 1TB HDD that was in there. I have managed to resolve it by reformatting that HDD.

Am looking to put in a SSD as the main drive and have the 1TB as a secondary for media.

Can anyone recommend a decent enough 120GB SSD for around £30 ?

I only use the computer for browsing and downloading so don't need anything amazing.

For those of you that have added a second HHD to a Mac mini 2011. Did you have to take out the logic board to get the HHD in ?

Here is a video for the kit I used to add 2nd HDD to mac mini 2011.

I kept the 500GB HDD it came with and added a 500GB SSD from Crucial

Yes, you need to pull out the logic board to put in the 2nd ssd.
To replace the original 9.5mm HDD for the first time, it may be easier to take out the board to remove too.
