Recommend me a Time Machine Alternative

Hi,

I love Time Machine, but I would like the ability to be able to set it to only backup certain folders, rather than the "all but this exclusion list" thing.

I only want to watch my main drive and a subfolder of my external array \PHOTOS\2014, so i can't really exclude the huge amount of other folders on the external drive in time machine.

What software are you guys using for this?

Crashplan free will allow you to backup to an attached HD or another computer also running the crashplan client. This computer can be in your home or a friend or families machine running at their homes.

Or you can pay for crashplan and backup to their cloud.

It's the best backup option out there, IMO.

The Crashplan app suggestion is a good one.

Also, you could use the app Carbon Copy Cloner to do what you want.
