Hi Folks,
I have a G5 power mac and my isp is virgin, however I can`t get online and have been told by a virgin technical advisor that the Thompson speedtouch I have will not work with Leopard, no advice as to what will work however.....

Can someone recommend a good router modem please, I can`t go wireless as I don`t have an airport card installed. All help will be welcome.
Thanks

I assume that your SpeedTouch is USB-only?

Does your Mac have an ethernet (network) port? If so, the only real requirement as far as the computer is concerned is a modem or modem/router "gateway" that has ethernet support. That way, there will be no special drivers required on your computer. You would simply connect your modem to the computer with a network cable.

Keeping the ethernet requirement in mind, your ISP should have some recommendations as to what modem models work best with your service. If you are using a DSL connection, I have always been partial to Netopia/Motorola products.
