Hello there, MacRumors members!

I made this thread because I'm searching for a case for my black iPhone 4. I'm looking for one that doesn't add bulk to the phone, yet still offers a good protection to it. I'd like it to have a back cover (to protect the glass), but also, I want it to have a lifted-up rim on the front, so if I drop my phone on a flat surface, accidentally, it won't hit the screen, but it will hit the rim. Also, the case should offer a nice grip, and cover the stainless steel bands. I'm not sure which material I should choose: silicone or plastic. From what I know, silicone cases offer better grip than plastic, and they reduce the chance to drop your phone, accidentally. Of course, I may be wrong about this. The point is, when the phone is in the case, it shouldn't slip from the table, if the table is moved (yeah, I know, creepy situation, if you ask me, haha!). The price range should be ~$50.

Sorry for my English. I'm not a native speaker.

Thank you!

If you want protection without bulk, get the OtterBox Commuter, Switcheasy CapsuleRebel, or Incipio NGP.

Although if you want something that won't slide around, then a Silicone case might be the right one for you, in that case checkout the Speck PixelSkin (Not HD) or Incipio DermaShot.

Hope this helps

The above mentioned three are pretty good but I'd like to throw in;

Contour Showcase
Incipio Destroyer
Acase Superleggera

All of these add marginal bulk to the phone but protect it very well. I use the Showcase on mine. The Destroyer is OK, it would probably be third on my list. The Acase is really nice and you can get it pretty cheap over at Amazon. Both the Acase and Destroyer have silicone cases and then a hard plastic trim that goes over the silicone.

I think you meant the acase superleggera pro. That's the hybrid one, the regular superleggera is just a snap on back cover

Here's a couple more recommendations

-Speck Candyshell
-Speck ToughSkin

Also check out BodyGuardz Cases, they're on sale for $5 on their site right now and the Shelter is a pretty good case

I am using incipio feather and I love it....

----------

OtterBox is way too too big for me .... Speck Candy bar is good

I have been using the Incase snap battery case. Best case IMO. Adds great battery life and provides a solid grip while keeping the aesthetics of the phone.

true Incipio Feather is among the best, let me know how you find it once you'll get yours visual, I'm sure you'll love it

How about this Levi's jean design iPhone 4 case Sexy, sexy?
