Looking for a recommendation for a 2.5" SSD drive enclosure, would like Thunderbolt but the prices seem high, so I can easily settle for a USB 3.1 v2 connection. I read the reviews on Amazon but half of the 5 star reviews seem fake and the other half seem to make the enclosure seem like a waste of money.

Will be using in primary with an 2018 mbp - 2.5" SSD crucible 1TB

Anyone with first hand experience want to share your recommendations on a single drive enclosure?

thanks,

Oyen Digital MiniPro USB-C, also supports TB3 via the USB-C cable. I have been using these enclosures since Firewire was the fastest thing going, have owned perhaps a half dozen of them over the years. All aluminum heat sink case, and only $29 for the bare enclosure. It is bus powered. The part number for the bare enclosure is U31M-C25-BK, available at Amazon.
