Recommendation for tallying app

I was wondering whether anyone would know of a decent, preferably free or nicely priced app that would let me keep a tally. Basically what I am looking for in terms of features is the ability to make a list of names, and then easily add a stripe or star or some other symbol to any name I choose.

In the App Store, there is an app called Tally List, counting made easy -- I am looking for something exactly like that, but for the iPad.

This might not be exactly what you are looking for, but I used an app called Attendance on my iPhone for taking a register of names when training a youth football team.

It's a fairly cheap universal app - might be worth a look.
