Hello -

As the new MBPr line rolls/rolled out, previous stock is waning.

I have a chance to get either the new MBPr MGX72LL/A (2014: 2.6Ghz, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD) or a MBPr ME865LL/A (2013: 2.4Ghz, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD). As I gather from the specs sheets, the only prima facie difference should be the processor speed.

I am on the fence on this one, as a friend (devil's advocate :D ) said newer is better, but the only issue I;d worry about is if the 2013 battery may be affected by the product sitting there fro whatever amount of time it has been.

Prices are $1249-ish on 2014, $1299 on 2013.

Comments are welcome. Thanks, regards. :apple:

It'll be fine

I would say go for it the extra space is far more useful than a minor speed bump, also if apple refurbished is available where you are the take a look at those. All the anecdotal evidence on this site says that refurbs are as new just without the pretty box and can save you hundreds of dollars or get you the spec you want.
